Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert cartoon, reported over a year ago that he had a rare condition that caused him to lose his ability to speak. He could, at times, sing and speak in certain situations, but the part of his brain that controlled normal talking became “disconnected”. The term for this malady is Spasmodic Dysphonia. Of all the reported cases of it, none have overcome it.

Until yesterday.

Scott explains how he guided his brain into rewiring itself with a little genius and a little luck.
