I’m still boggling at the idea to give them Teddy Bear heads. The Battlefield Extraction Assist Robot (BEAR) is under development for the US military to rescue wounded soldiers from the battlefield.

Gary Gilbert, from the US Army’s Telemedicine and Advanced Technology Research Centre in Frederick, Maryland, said that the teddy bear appearance was deliberate.

The F-14 Tomcat has flown its final combat mission.

This makes me recall the same feelings I had when I heard that the last battleship had been decommissioned. Maybe it is my military-brat background, but all those military machines were something I loved when I was younger when I dreamed of being a fighter pilot.

Years pass and dreams change, but it still is sad to see these grey beasts lie down.
