Gaming meets driving

gm corvette HUD

General Motors invented and patented a technology decades ago, promising buyers would love it.

And the revolutionary gizmo sank without a trace.

But the heads-up display’s time may finally have come.

Heads-up displays, or HUDs, project information such as speed and warning lights onto the windshield above the steering wheel.

Too bad it doesn’t come with side-mounted gatling guns. Carmageddon anyone?

Carcycle

carverPopular Science is a cool mag. It’s a great browser when I’m bored and there’s nothing on TV. I have a seven thousand year subscription. I felt sorry for some (supposed) ex- drug- dealer- turned- door- to- door- magazine- seller on a hot day a couple years ago. I bought a subscription from him. They only had subscription amounts in the 5 years range, so I’ll be getting it forever.

Anyway, this month the first article is about a half-car half-motorcycle named a Carver. It looks nifty and I could seriously deal with one of these. Too bad it costs 55k and isn’t certified for use as a car in the US.
