String Theory is an incredibly hard thing to wrap one’s mind around. It involves trying to imagine the behavior of super-strings that exist in the 10th dimension. Being that we live and operate in the 3rd and 4th, how can we possibly relate?

Relativity was hard enough to grasp, but string theory is a jump into something we will probably never be able to experience first, or at least using our current minds.

Imagining the Tenth Dimension is a site that does an amazingly good job of simplifying the dimensions down to something one can begin to comprehend. Honestly, I had heard and read many explanations of dimensions before (as the subject appeals to a lifelong nerd like me) and none have explained it so simply and in such great laymen’s terms.

The site is an intro to a book, and amazingly, an album of songs that are written to bring readers’ minds further into dimensional awareness. He has a caveat stating that he does not hold the same view of String Theory as most modern physicists do, so I would take everything with a grain of salt beyond the impressive flash presentation.
