Leonardo da Birthday

Happy Birthday to Leonardo da Vinci. I have never read the “DaVinci Code” and I do not really plan to. No, but I have been facinated with Leonardo da Vinci for as long as I have had memories. Whenever someone asks the ubiquitous question, “If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?” I almost always answer: Leonardo. He was everything in life that I would have liked to be (except his possible homosexuality), and at least I can say I share many of his bad traits. Especially the trouble with sticking to one thing that I love, and never finishing projects. Ah well, rest in peace, Leonardo. |

Halcyon Days
A book I missed, it happens much more often than I would like. Luckily it is now posted in its entirety here. Interviews with creators of those old games that you always remember, even if you need a little reminder. Back when coding a game took only one person. Back when every programmer seemed to dabble in games. It even has a foreword by John Romero.

Praying Babies
After a prolonged time of sitting-there-doing-nothing because it was too cold, the Praying Mantis egg sack I acquired has hatched!
Tons of the little buggers crawling everywhere. No wings yet, but soon… after a few moltings…we’ll have the winged terrors en masse.
