Lucas still proclaims that he makes films for himself and doesn’t care about monetary rewards, and then he comes out with a Star Wars TV series!.
Ah well. I predict it to be “The O.C. in Space”.
Among the projects he’s working on is a live-action TV series based on “Star Wars” that will likely not focus on the main characters from the movies. The unnamed series isn’t expected to hit screens for at least a year and will be set between “Sith” and the original “Star Wars.”
“We want to write all the stories for the entire first season all at once,” Lucas said at the convention, which was attended by more than 30,000 fans. “I’m going to get it started, and hire the show runners and all of that, then I’ll probably step away.”
